Letras

A Climber's Delight.

"Designed around a single word: Delight. Letras is an unpretentious bike with one clear goal—to give the rider the purest, most enjoyable sensation on a bike. In a world where climbing is measured in watts and gradients, we’ve taken the opposite approach, amplifying the indescribable joy of finding your rhythm on the ascent while syncing your body and mind with the environment." Santiago Toro - Founder

Designed, Built, and Tested in Colombia

A tribute to the Colombian tradition of producing some of the best climbers in the world, Scarab’s lightest climbing-oriented frame was named: Letras, honoring one of the world's longest and most challenging road cycling climbs. Letras brings a masterful balance of agile ride quality with confident stiffness. A ride on a Letras will remind you of the exhilaration of conquering the mythical mountain pass.

The Letras Variants

Over the last years, we've seen some mayor changes in tech and aesthetics of bikes. Rim Brakes, Disc Brakes, electronic groupsets, wide tires, you name it! The question: Do those changes make up for a better bike? We think a better bike is the one you love, the one that makes you ride more, the one that matches your needs.

That is why we've kept the alive the previous versions of the Letras as we strongly believe that they still have a following.

The Letras frameset is a super-light platform that offers an extremely refined feeling of the road. The timeless lines offer a very discrete look that will surprise you with the butter-like feeling that steel is known for.
The original version built with rim brakes can still be ordered. #savetherimbrake

Letras Disc

When designing the Letras disc, Our goal was to keep the low weight and exquisite feeling of the rim brake version. To achieve this, we kept some elements that are non standard to all disc brake bikes. Skinny rear stays, 34mm head tube and a 1-1/8 straight steerer tube. this basically transitioned the beloved DNA of the original version into a modern platform. Fitting 32mm tires and disc brakes.

Framesets start from: $4000
