LINEA
Colombia has long been a nation fractured by topography, where towering mountains and diverse landscapes have made contact and unification among its people difficult. His national career, the Vuelta a Colombia, served that purpose from its inception in 1951, uniting the country like nothing else. The legendary beetles of Colombia were made in the Vuelta before crossing the pond to the shores of Europe, and it is on the slopes of Alto de La Línea where the story of Lucho Herrera began in 1981. LÍNEA is a tribute to cyclists and to the bicycles from this era

One could think that the Linea takes its name from the lineage of Colombian prowesses. Forged by the ragged topography that didn’t stop crowds of racers trying to outshine the others in an attempt to win. Races like the Vuelta a Colombia, a classic, that since its inception in 1951, came to unite a country divided by its terrain and its internal conflicts.
The legendary beetles of Colombia, like Lucho Herrera, would amaze spectators in the European races but its in the Colombian Andes and mountain passes like the Alto de la Linea, where they were made. A line of heroes, a line of mountains, the LINEA is a tribute to the legendary cyclists and bicycles from this era.
